The BBC Essex broadcasts from 2007 were to mark the introduction of the law to close down the pirates that was passed 40 years earlier. Once again the national media were interested, BBC Breakfast covered the start of broadcasts on the first day. This time a number of former presenters arrived from overseas, including Norman St. John, Keith Hampshire, John Kerr, Graham Webb and  Gord Cruise .. all of them had been huge radio names in the past and joined the likes of Tony Blackburn, Johnnie Walker, Roger Day and Keith Skues, plus the regular BBC Essex team of Tim Gillett, Steve Scruton, Ian Wyatt and me... my friend from the Breeze days, Emperor Rosko was with us to.
